AEI does not boast a single particular style, design or area of work. The firm offers planning as well as architectural design for a wide variety of project types. The staff strives to create project designs that have the ability to blend with the existing surroundings or stand on its own as a bold statement.
Current AEI Office
History:
In 1988, Architects and Engineers, Incorporated was formed in Cookeville to offer full service architectural and engineering services. Within a few years, clients naturally started referring to the firm in abbreviated form as AEI, which has since become the firm's identity. Presently, AEI offers architectural design and master planning.
AEI resides in an older building constructed in 1910 that is located in Cookeville's Historic District. The building, originally known as the TPI Café, is a matured brick structure that has been renovated to accommodate AEI's design team. The original materials were exposed to reveal the original brick walls, open rafters and wood floors. The warm atmosphere reflects the personality of the office and shows the value the firm places in blending the design and aesthetics with functional use of space. The open spaces promote collaboration among the various disciplines so that all areas of design work together as one entity.
